Santa Barbara Sailing Club Flagship
Catalina 270 Shenandoah

I welcome each member of the Santa Barbara Sailing Club to this very exciting year of sailing.

We have already made improvements with the installation of our new storage facility on the Sailing Club property. Many members assisted in the removal of the old shed and preparation of the renovation site. The Sailing Club lasers have been reconditioned for another year of racing by Brian Green. A new laser rack has be designed by Michael Schamburg who also commissioned the building and installation of the laser rack.

The key to success of your SB Sailing Club is active participation. Every member is an important contributor to share the responsibility for a successful sailing season. We are an all volunteer organization that thrives on making the club events a time of social gathering and contributing skills. We make the events a success by sharing our time and effort. Every event is an opportunity to learn new skills and have a good time. Our club benefits by the skills and enthusiasm of each member. From regatta registration, to sharing sailing tactics, to race committee, to post race socializing, there are opportunities for members to learn and laugh with friends. I encourage every member to participate in our active sailing program.
